Disclaimer:
No piece of climbing gear lasts forever, and you should regularly inspect all of your gear for signs of wear that indicate a loss of structural integrity. However, we stand behind our kit. If you do manage to break (aka snap) one of pieces of kit while climbing, just send us a photo of the break and the story of how it happened, and we'll send you a new one. For free. You won't even have to pay for shipping.

Rules:
- Pitons (has always existed)
- Lifetime warranty against snapping.
- Lifetime warranty against snapping.
- Picks (implemented on 6/5/2025)
- Lifetime warranty against snapping.
- Things that void the warranty:
- Filing, grinding, or otherwise modifying the space in between the teeth of the pick.
- Why? Unless you really know what you're doing, filing in between the teeth of picks creates weak points that makes them more likely to snap at the filing point. In all our testing of our picks and others', if we grind into this space the pick is much more likely to break at this weak point and at lower forces. This rule is really a general heads up: we recommend against doing this to any pick.
- The pick has, through use, worn down to the point of needing to remove the first tooth.
- Why? This isn't a free pick program; this is backing our work. At this point you've gotten most of the life out of the pick. Once you start needing to remove teeth, the striking and purchase angle of the pick has changed. As a potentially helpful reference, here's how one of our owners breaks down a pick's performance lifespan for his personal use. Use your own judgement and consider seeking professional instruction:
- Brand new/some filing: soloing, most difficult/dangerous ice and mixed routes.
- Half-way through the beak: will use it for most things, but if near personal limit consider using freshies.
- Removing 1 tooth in order to reform the beak: use limited to moderate terrain well within personal limits
- Removing more than 1 tooth: use restricted to training, bolted drytooling, or filing practice.

- Putting this warranty on picks is pretty ambitious; no one has done this before (as far as we know). It is not hard to snap any pick on purpose. But, you've put your trust in us to make great gear, so we're returning that trust and betting we won't deal with the headache of folks breaking their picks on purpose to get free gear. If you experience an issue, we sincerely want you to reach out so that we can take care of you. That being said, here's a warning: our proprietary metals behave a very specific way. You could send us a photo of a bent pick without info and we can usually tell how you bent it. We can definitely tell if you broke it on purpose. If we find that you have submitted a false warranty claim, we will reject your claim and refuse your future business.
- That may sound a little harsh, but save your shenanigans for the big dawgs, not your local small businesses trying to do what they love for a living :)
