Noah McKelvin

You're Gonna Go Far Kid

A nomad at heart, Noah was introduced to the mountains at the age of 13. Climbing quickly became the main passion and driver in his life, something that has never faded. After graduating high school, Noah forsook the traditional path, allowing climbing to take him across the world. Noah had a natural taste for risk and adventure, so with strong mentors or another young buck, he sought out everything from the thinnest mixed lines to the grossest desert aid climbs, accumulating a vast repertoire in all climbing disciplines. An epic on Mt. Logan ended his alpine pursuits for a time, resulting in an shift towards pushing technical difficulty in ice, mixed, aid, and big wall rock climbing across the United States.

The Technician

After Logan, Noah spent the next 6 years as a firefighter, utilizing the unique schedule to climb as much as possible around the United States. He recently left firefighting to work as a guide, climb even more, and pursue other ventures. Noah is an old soul who truly wants to push others to be the better versions of themselves both in climbing and as humans. He still loves the unknown, the scary, the loose, and the obscure. It's no exaggeration to say that Noah might have one of the best diversified climbing resumes in North America. Whether it's hucking grappling hooks 40 ft in the air on A4 in the desert mud, seeking mind-bending mixed climbing first ascents in the alpine, or pushing 5.13 trad, Noah is someone we are proud to call a friend, climbing partner, and Beartooth Athlete. There's no one else we know who thinks 40 beaks is a normal rack or puts our gear through such demanding tests in the field.
